We had the most amazing time tonight at the Capitola Whole Foods. We went on an exciting excursion around the store to see what kind of marvelous raw foods we could encounter, and of course talk about their benefits and why they are so great! At the end of the tour we made a delicious salad that had a variety of greens, fruits, and vegetables, all topped with the Rawesome ZUKAY salad dressings! Also, Whole Foods was kind enough to give everyone samples of their Raw Vegan Cheese Cake, it was pretty good (Of course, not as good as Fritz’s
). Thanks to everyone who came, and especially Whole Foods and Melissa for being so helpful. We had mentioned Chia Seed Pudding and wanted to make sure that everyone can have the recipe, so here it is:
Chia Seed Pudding with Berry Sauce     
Pudding:
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 4 tbsp agave nectar
- 2.5Â cups water
- 2 tbsp raw chocolate powder
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tbsp almond extract
Berry Sauce:
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 cup blueberries (or other berry)
Directions:
Pudding
- Blend all ingredients except for chia seeds.
- Pour mixture into a sealable jar and add chia seeds.
- Shake very well and refrigerate overnight.
Sauce
- Blend blueberries and maple syrup and pour on top before serving.
